Installation video - Hood damper Nissan 350Z
 
It is really surprising that the Nissan Z33 - 350Z does not have standard hood dampers, it remains a mystery why this is the case.
In addition, the angle of the original holding position due to the hood bar is much too flat. This makes working in the engine compartment considerably more difficult, especially in lowered vehicles.
 
But we offer a solution – custom hood dampers that solve this problem.
 
Spurred on by the disappointments with the last two hood dampers, we dedicated ourselves to this project. The first dampers from D1 were neither convincing in terms of performance nor in their durability against corrosion. The last dampers were more powerful, but left marks on the inside of the hood and caused damage.
 
We have incorporated our experience into the development of new dampers to solve this problem.
We made the holder out of stainless steel and then swept and powder-coated it. We also chose all add-on parts such as screws, washers and cap nuts in black. Even after searching for the perfect damper for the setup, we came across black dampers from Stabilus.
We obtain both the production of the angles and the assembly components entirely from high-quality sources with the label Made in Germany.

The installation is uncomplicated and is like a plug & Play system. The included mounting bracket and ball stud insert into the existing holes without the need for chassis adjustment. However, installing the lower mounting spigot requires cutting the black plastic battery and brake fluid reservoir cover.
 
These hood supports are exclusively fororiginal aluminum hoodsintended. With fiberglass or carbon hoods, there is a risk of damage, especially when closing the hood
